High-value property tax could rise beyond 2028 rates

The High Value Council Tax Surcharge may increase beyond its initial 2028 rates as the government seeks to fund spending commitments, according to Knight Frank. The annual surcharge, ranging from £2,500 to £7,400 on properties worth £2 million or more, was announced in last autumn’s Budget.
